Oscoda means trails and trails mean ticks

It's that time of year again when more people and pooches are out on Oscoda's many wonderful trails. As veteran hikers know, the trails are ripe for different kinds of ticks. In fact, there are three different types of the pest to be found around Oscoda. The Iosco News has a handy guide from earlier this month of how you and your pets can stay safer outside using natural ingredients. 

Very informative, Johnny learned in researching ticks one type only needs three days about 32º to become active, meaning they can latch onto you all times of the calendar year.

In all honesty, Johnny just wanted to post a song tonight with Offa in the title. He didn't have to look far for 'Get Up Offa That Thing' by James Brown.

Taking us out tonight one of the better bands with two of the same name. Some of the more comical failures in this regard would of course be Garbage Garbage, Humperdinck Humperdinck and of course Wang Chung Wang Chung. 'Union of the Snake' submitted for your approval.

Pencils, straws, sticks, face it when you first heard this song you picked up anything that looked like drumsticks and gave it a whirl. It's ok, the percussion IS that good in 'The Glamorous Life' as to make someone with no hope to play as well as Sheila E.
