The genius cannot be denied. Johnny has no idea who has been the house piano player in Heaven but they are onto a new job as of tomorrow. 'Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On' getting us started on a Piano-Appreciation night.

The Oscoda boys football team finished the season strong tonight with an 18-12 victory over rival Tawas. The Owls won 3 of their last 4 games to finish up the season at 4-5. Way to play through the end of the year with no titles or playoffs to play for. Johnny remembers being on teams like that that gave up back when. Good effort guys!

This song here really took on a personal nature after Mrs Johnny passed. In many ways in the lyrics of this song Johnny can see and imagine her moving around all the cities she fearlessly visited rarely staying on the suggested path. Her love of rollerblades and the miles she put on those back in their heyday makes for the 'rollergirl' part of things. An amazing song that took on deeper meaning, 'Skateaway' taking us out tonight.

Some pretty serious malfeasance going on in East Tawas!

Johnny was rather surprised to come across this story from a day or so ago; East Tawas councilman Michael Mooney was arrested by State Police for, are you sitting down, trying to hire a hitman to kill two people so his share of an inheritance would be 100%. Here's more from MLive:

This man called Mooney on Feb. 11, 2021, only to be told he could not help him as the $300,000 set aside for him was being contested by his deceased father’s wife and his half-brother.

Mooney told the man if he killed the widow and his half-brother, he would make sure he got the six-figure sum, plus an extra $100,000, the affidavit states.

Do follow the link, this is one juicy story that doesn't pop off around here often. Mooney by the way is the owner of the Ben Franklin in East Tawas.
