Time for Oscoda, After Dark

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with THE POLICE!

Tonight's Music Series is brought to you by the letter P.

Yes, Johnny wishes the studio version of this song was anywhere on YouTube with the correct album cover. In the words of Elwood Blues, "Whadda ya want for nothing?" Just be thankful Johnny can spell and he's not play The Doors on P night.

Sting now, having a very bad, no good, terrible day with 'Can't Stand Losing You'

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with THE PLIMSOULS!

Yep, we're all here for this song because of the Valley Girl soundtrack. That has to be an all-time soundtrack, yes? No? Your thoughts Oscoda and distinguished readers?

Opinions aside, it's The Plimsouls and 'A Million Miles Away' keeping the fun going tonight.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with ELVIS PRESLEY!

Nothing wrong with a little something something from the King of Rock and Roll before bed. Elvis and 'Little Sister' taking us out.

Just say it Elvis, her older sister is a skank.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with THE RAMONES!

These guys in the KKK sound like real dicks if The Ramones are to be believed. We sure hope the President took Joey Ramone's call.

'The KKK Took My Baby Away' getting us started down and dirty tonight.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with FLORENCE BALLARD!

Johnny has long said, and readies for a fight every time yet never gets one, that Florence Ballard's voice was better than Diana Ross' voice. Feel free to chime in down in the comment section.

Here's Johnny's favorite song by the late Ms. Ballard, 'Going Out of My Head'

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with THE MIGHTY LEMON DROPS!

Now here's one Johnny is guessing you haven't heard in a while, 'Inside Out' from the album World Without End back in 1988. Johnny is pretty sure he heard this song first on the old MTV show 120 Minutes. BIG fan of that show back in the day.

We may be looking at a later than normal Music Series tonight

Johnny doesn't like to talk much about himself here, it's about the music or goings on around Oscoda and anymore, the whole world. That being said Johnny has begun seeing a new wonderful lady and with Big Gretch opening the state up to small groups, that would mean us. We went from March 15th of being good, or not running over the quarantine. We were model Michiganders.

Tonight is date night.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with FRANK ZAPPA!

Sit down class. Mr. Zappa is in our classroom today on career day to explain the glamorous life of a 'Crew Slut.' Pay attention and Timmy would you line up the record with the film strip?
Toto, lol...

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with THE PRETENDERS!

Turn the volume up, sit down, shut your talk hole and let Chrissie explain how things work, bitch.

'Bad Boys Get Spanked' making us feel some kind of way tonight.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with SAM COOKE!

Johnny loves Sam Cooke songs, heck, who doesn't. That being said Johnny is gonna come right out and say men on the chain gang said more, much more, than "hoooo" and "haaaaaa." Doggone it, Johnny would like to hear a song on this topic with some of those words and phrases.

'Chain Gang' taking us out tonight.

Time for Oscoda, After Dark

Boy did we lose a great one this morning

Johnny woke up to see the sad news about rock and roll pioneer and the King of Flair, Little Richard. In lieu of a Little Richard Music Series next week we'll drop a couple great tunes on you today along with this bio from the NYT.

With apologies to the Greyjoys in the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' books, "What is dead may never die!"

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with GARBAGE!

Johnny's only happy when it's not snowing the second weekend of May. Exceptional band. Johnny has all their musics. There's something bigger than life about this video. What a welcome to the viewing public this video was. They spent four days in the Ohio state house in Columbus filming this.

Shots fired! 'Only Happy When It Rains' stepping us off tonight.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with PAUL MCCARTNEY & WINGS!

Johnny watches the news.

Also, he prefers this version of 'Live and Let Die'

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN!

This is one of those songs that stands out in an already incredible catalog. It just ticks all the boxes for Johnny. The kind of thing that might make him want to run out and join up with the Jersey City Fire Department. Truly, everything that's great about Bruce Springsteen is on full display on 'Candy's Room' and you can't tell Johnny no different.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with FLASH AND THE PAN!

Johnny is going to kick off, "I haven't heard that song in SO long" night with one, yeah, you probably haven't heard in 20 or 30 years. Sometimes those songs out of nowhere can be such fun. That's what Johnny is going for tonight.

'Hey St. Peter' getting it going tonight.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with SNIFF 'N' THE TEARS!

'Driver's Seat'....c'mon, what's it been, 20 years since you've heard it? Longer? Johnny really had to work hard to round up older and more obscure songs for the discerning ear.

Jenny was sweet....it is known.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with SPLIT ENZ!

We're putting the wraps on "I haven't heard that song in SO long" night with a favorite from Split Enz, 'I Got You' and Johnny really hopes these songs are indeed long-lost gems from your memory.
