Johnny owes a debt of thanks to Officer Clark with the Arenac County Animal Shelter for helping him get his new rescue pup. Officer Clark is a fabulous advocate for the animals under her care. Johnny adopted a pup who has been abandoned twice in his 4 years. Once in Pennsylvania and once in Standish where Johnny adopted him from. Johnny could tell you what he thinks of people who would abandon a pet but he's trying to concentrate on keeping this a happy day. He's amazed at after all this guy has been though he's such a lover and a cuddlebug. He's already seen (and wanted to chase) his first deer herd. 

Thanks again to Officer Clark, you've helped make Johnny and his new pup very happy!

According to Yahoo! Sports we all missed a classic Red Wings game vs. the Sabres last night.

Today friends is a Dog Day Afternoon...

Johnny's amazing dog Finn passed away last December 29. Such an awful day. Pet owners know how much those days hurt. It had been a year and Johnny knew he had the love to share and wanted another trail walking partner. He picks up his new trail buddy this afternoon.

Well it wasn't the Red Bulls day today as they fell in the title game 2-1. Better luck next year. Johnny did get a lovely gift this morning, a 3-2 Nottingham Forest win over Manchester United so it wasn't a day devoid of soccer victory.

Johnny's fave-o-rite MLS club, the NY Red Bulls (who play in Harrison New Jersey) are playing in the final of the MLS Cup today. Though big underdogs Red Bulls fans hope this is the day! Johnny spent more than a few evenings in Red Bull Arena when he lived in Jersey City hoping for such a big match. NY is Red and lets go Metro!

Happy Anniversary...to Johnny!

Happy Anniversary indeed! It's been six years today since Johnny arrived in Oscoda from Jersey City with his trusty pup Finn. While Finn passed away last year Johnny is still very much enjoying all the fabulous outside fun Oscoda has to offer. In fact later today Johnny will meet a new dog at a local shelter and see if this pup might enjoy living in Oscoda too! Here's to us Oscoda, and to at least six more.
