Time for Oscoda, After Dark

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with THE SUPREMES!

On an evening where everyone could just use a little time away from everything going on hopefully tonight's Music Series can offer an escape, however brief. Motown always sounds good in such moments so let's hear from Flo, Diana and Mary on 'Where Did Our Love Go' to get things started.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with PRINCE!

Johnny still has a standing offer to several movie stars to cosplay this song, you know, like a movie.

Naming names would be indiscreet, shame on your Dirty Mind. 'Let's Pretend We're Married' making its Music Series debut here tonight.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with LOU REED!

Winter is always time for a Destination Oscoda video.

Time for Oscoda, After Dark

Oscoda, we need to talk a little weather this morning...

...actually maybe we should have a big talk about the next 24 hours of weather around here.

Snow and ice are on the way but the big problem is the ice and the amounts. Some predictions have almost a half-inch of ice setting up around the greater Oscoda area. You read that right, a half-inch. Bet on at least a third of an inch and that means loss of power and trees and branches coming down no doubt. If your phone or iPad or other electronics need charging, now would be the time. Now, there is the threat of some amount of snow, 2 inches, 3 inches, 4 inches, no model seems to have landed on a solid amount of snow on top of the ice. This whole winter storm party kicks off tonight around 6pm so whatever preparations you feel you need to make, you have some time today.

Stay with the Oscoda City Desk Action Weather Team for more information as it becomes available.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with SIOUSXIE & THE BANSHEES!

A perfect song to get things started tonight, the classic 'Peek-A-Boo' from Siouxsie & the Banshees. When the band first started back in 1976, lead singer Siouxsie Sioux used the name "Suzi Sue"

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with SUZANNE VEGA!

The 'Songs in Red and Gray' album is a real treat. Tell ya what, how about Johnny plays the title track and you can see for yourself why you may want to check it out and add it to your collection.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with KISS!

If you're from Michigan, as Johnny is, you always have time for this one, 'Detroit Rock City'

Johnny is of the opinion that when the Red Wings during their dynasty years and came flying onto the ice to this song under all those banners as almost 20,000 people lost their minds made some players and teams check out before the game even started. KISS as home ice advantage if you will.
