So, the story goes that after Mick Jagger covered the Rolling Stones 'Beast of Burden' with Bette Midler (Nothing wrong with that track) it broke some verbal agreement between Mick and Keith Richards on the use of their music. It'd be fleshed out and discussed, apparently unlike the Mick and Bette collaboration.
So Keith, being Keith decided the only thing to do was to one up Mick. You have to climb the ladder a good bit to do better than the Divine Miss M. Keith was feeling frisky apparently and climbed the whole damn ladder to the top and asked Aretha Franklin to work with him on 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' which is simply incredible.
