Everything goes better with Roxy Music songs; Wedding receptions, parties, dinners, car rides, church, you know, the options are boundless. 'Dance Away' kicking things off tonight.
Johnny very well remembers the discussion over the album cover on this album, Honey, by the adults at Thanksgiving one year long ago. Johnny's cousin had purchased it and she had left it out in plain sight. 'Love Rollercoaster' up next and offending the old people all at once.
Johnny and the whole staff hope you have the most romantic of days if that's what you're after. If you hate the day at least you can enjoy a really great song. The Flamingos with the classic, 'I Only Have Eyes for You'
Johnny is one of those people who listens to others. He hears what they say even if he doesn't jump into the conversation. Years of being a tip top media analyst taught Johnny to keep his ears open and his mouth shut. Know what Johnny has been hearing around town and from his neighbors? They are really getting a negative impression from the Iosco Transit 'busses' and are not inclined to vote for another millage/tax next time it comes up. After about the fourth person who brought it up one really begins to think a lot more people think like these folks. In fact, neighbors on both sides of Johnny have expressed a disappointment with Iosco Transit and seem fairly put off by the entire system.
While Iosco Transit should be able to figure it out on their own from any number of online sources with complaints on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook but it all sure seems to be based around the same thing. Hideous drivers. Johnny would tend to agree with this as yes, he's been cut off in both his neighborhood and one pulling right out in front of him on US-23 in East Tawas. Multiply that across a county over a couple years and yeah, it becomes a thing. It's a problem of their own making and yet Johnny is going to guess they see no problem at all. It's a county program, they only care about the money, not changing up anything for you.
And Johnny's got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 'Senses Working Overtime' but at least a couple of those are the huge rip of Bio Star Johnny smoked a while ago. You didn't think the Music Series all these years wasn't weed-infused did you?
65 years. The so-called 'Day the Music Died' was 65 years ago today as people found out about the terrible tragedy out of a town called Clear Lake, Iowa. Buddy Holly, J. P. Richardson (the Big Bopper), Richie Valens and pilot Roger Peterson were gone in a snow squall.
You know how today police don't release a victim's name until after a family member has been notified? It's because of this tragedy. Elena, Buddy's now very-new widow found out about his death watching the news and had a miscarriage the next day.
The man, the legend, the day that will live on forever in memory. 'Rave On' taking us out tonight.
Movie Night ran very late tonight so it'll be either a Saturday or Sunday Night Music Series this weekend. No, it has nothing to do with the excitement of Perchville in East Tawas this weekend.
