It's canoe weekend, to which Johnny's movie group watched 'Deliverance' tonight in honor of Hup All Night. Good to see Burt Reynolds as Canoe Fonzie. Well Johnny loves traditions and playing the Talking Heads version of 'Take Me to the River' seems the right thing to do.
The band The Strangeloves released this song in 1965. The Candy they sing of is a dancer named Candy Johnson whom the group saw at the 1964 World’s Fair. She danced in many a beach movie in the 60's.
