Boy howdy, set the Wayback Machine to 1968 and 8mm video transferred to VHS it looks like. Enjoy a time when Wurtsmith was still Wurtsmith.

An open letter to the Oscoda community
Here we go again, another of our big weekends up here, July 4th with all the trimmings (and all the tourists) that come with it. Part of that fun is of course fireworks. Fireworks are legal and Johnny loves fireworks. That being said, with the right to buy and shoot off fireworks comes the responsibility to follow the law and shoot them off during approved hours. Why does Johnny bring all this up? Dogs. As a dog owner Johnny sees the true fear in his dog's eyes when fireworks go off. We can try our CBD pet tinctures and thunder shirts or calming foods but still, it's an awful thing for some pups.
So, enjoy the fireworks, be safe and have fun, but do it during the approved hours and be considerate of your neighbors with pets. The doggos of Oscoda thank you.
Here are the hours the State of Michigan allows for fireworks:
When can I set my fireworks off?
You can light your fireworks anywhere in the state from June 29 through July 4, until 11:45 p.m. On those dates, the state prevents local governments from banning fireworks use after 11 a.m.

If it's the 4th of July, 'round these parts that means the 'Legend of Jimmy's Truck'
First off, a hale and hearty Happy Independence Day to all our roaring cats and kittens out there. Now, yes, please do enjoy Johnny's favorite fireworks fail video, Mobile Command Fireworks Launch!
The fire department has been called...

Oscoda's July 4th fireworks show is ON!
Oscoda Township has approved a July 4th fireworks show down to da beach with proper social distancing being required (Which shouldn't be all that hard for a fireworks show). Since other lesser communities around here, Tawaseses, Harrisville and elsewhere were going ahead with plans for their crappy fireworks shows, Oscoda decided to show 'em how it's done.
Be there, aloha!
